But we've got strict ass rules saying, (Exact quote, taken straight from the CBP handbook.") "NO YOU CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS."

...Came down from Canada saying it was for a visit. Never went back. Lied on registration, said it was a C class or something. Done & Done. Just don't get caught.

Oh yeah, that's just straight up illegal. Don't buy it unless you enjoy having cars taken or being concerned every day....

Haha, I'm poor don't worry about me getting it.

Yup, that sounds about right.
Feel sorry for the next owner, it's to be seized+crushed at some point in the near future.

Found your eBay find of the week

Yeah. Would not buy.
And now for a discussion of illegal activity which I do not condone:
It's fairly easy physically to get an illegal car into the States via Canada as long as it's Canadian registered. As long as you were resident in Canada through work or being a dual national (as 1 in about 40 Canadians is with the US) they wouldn't have reason to suspect anything as of course thousands of Canadian registered vehicles drive to the US everyday. There's not really a "register" of whom crosses the border and with what car they came or left with so once you're in, you're in.
But then as you mentioned you risk getting in legal trouble and having your assets seized.

That's true, whoever was selling this probably knows the CBP wants it.

Yup.

Was gonna say...you could flag it if you want to save the next owner. It's clearly illegal and as such violates craigslist policy lol.

How is this not U.S. legal!!? Canada's vehicle standards are a copy-and-paste of the U.S.'s for the most part. It has the amber reflectors too!
